My Daily Skincare

20150531_181835 I have always had clear skin until I entered my mid 20’s.. I started getting pimples around my forehead and chin, on top of that, had issues with dry skin yet very oily on the t-zone area. It was so frustrating to look at myself in the mirror every morning…
I’m not going to lie, my self esteem had gone down a bit.
After 2 months of trial and error, I think I have found the cure to dry combination skin with occasional breakouts.
Let me introduce you to my new babies. Please note that I have tested these babies out for almost 4 months now.
1. First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser: This cleanser is super gentle enough for people with sensitive skin.  It has FAB antioxidant booster to help fight against skin aging and it is parabens, sulfates, and Phthalates free! This product doesn’t dry out my skin yet it gives that clean feel after each wash.
2. Josie Maran 100% pure Argan Oil Light: I use this after I wash my face. During the winter months, I use about 1 or 2 drops mixed with my daily moisturizer. This process will not budge your make-up. During the summer months, I use this before bed. 2 to 3 drops are rubbed onto my palm then I quickly pat my hands all over my face. I don’t ever rub it on the skin because I want to make sure that all that oil absorb onto my skin by doing the patting motion.
3. DERMAdoctor Wrinkle Revenge Facial Creme: I know what you’re thinking.  Yes, it is on the more pricier range, but this facial creme leaves your skin feeling fabulous. It even says so on the jar (no joke). I love that it’s a thicker cream to help with my extra dry days. I use this cream mostly as my night cream. I remember the first morning I woke up, my skin felt so moisturized! It felt as soft as a baby’s butt!
4. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Creme: I got this as part of my sample when I purchased  my go-to-foundation, Double Wear Foundation. I love that it looks like simmer gold! It seemed to do the job but honestly, in my opinion all eye cremes are the same to me. Maybe I have not found the one that does the magic :/
Let me know if you know any eye creams I must try!

I hope you enjoyed my daily skincare reviews!
Have a wonderful day!

Festival Look

j2Meet my new friend, J.
I was invited to go check out the music festival with my best friend G last weekend. You guys, let me tell you, it was so much fun! G is part of the women’s group through Tinder and she has gotten to know so many awesome people there! Of course I tagged along to check it out 😉 That’s when I saw J!
She instantly stood out from the rest.
Here’s what I love about her look.
First off, her lip color is so beautiful! It’s from M.A.C, shade Rebel. I could never pull this color off but J totally rocked it.
Secondly, I love this effortless look. It’s a simple tee with a nice pair of dark jeans that anyone can pull off. The gold accessories really compliments her skin tone and matches her soft natural casual look.
Lastly, I love her choice of brown cross bag with nude sandals to make the look easy and comfortable.
I’m a big fan of easy looks that not only feels great inside but looks great outside and J has shown us the perfect festival look that all of us can pull off.
I hope you guys have a wonderful Friday and be careful driving!

Thank you J for your participation!

Don’t forget to watch my first video this Sunday

Everyday Make Up

I’ve been loving my summer make up routine the last few weeks . For the longest time, I was a big time fan of Estee Lauder Double Wear but I came across their new foundation over the weekend, Estee Lauder Perfectionist.
It has anti-aging and SPF 25 to help protect the skin, and it brightens and gives the semi dewy effect. What I absolutely love about this foundation is the satin finish and I can’t believe how light it is. My skin looks so flawless and it doesn’t look like I’m wearing anything! I use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to blend the foundation all over the face with circular motion.
Once the foundation is set, I use the Real Techniques Blush Brush
to put my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush, color Dim Infusion to give a little color to my cheeks. I love, love, love, love this blush so much! Not only it lasts all day but it’s the perfect color for everyday look.
Finally, I use my Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder with Sephora Pro Flawless light powder brush #50 to set my make up to last all day. I really like this setting power because it doesn’t wash my face out. Sometimes the white translucent power gives that ghostly look but Laura Mercier loose power has a tint of beige to give the natural flawless finish.
NYX Butter Lip Balm NYX Butter Lip Balm color BLB08 Brownie is must have tinted lip balm. You’d be surprised how pigmented and glossy it is. I have it in my purse wherever I go. I also like the shade NYX Butter Lip Balm – Panna Cotta (BLB07). This one is nude pinky shade. I use this color on the days when I’m trying to go for the feminine look. The earing is from Banana Republic and nail polish is Essie, Hubby for Dessert.

That is all for now!
I hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Who says its only for babies?

Can I just say how amazing this Johnson’s Baby Lotion, Honey Apple smells?! It’s ridiculous how many times I smell my hands after I put this on.
I love that it has a light apple scent.
Some say it is not enough moisture for adult skin but I say YOU ARE WRONG!
As we are entering spring season, I definitely want all my skincare and make up to stay light and glowy and this Johnson’s Honey Apple gives the perfect moisture to stay hydrated and smelling good all day!

You could purchase this at Target, Buy Buy Baby and any other stores that carries baby goodies!
